This section presents information on the ship, its capacity and all the services available on board. Smoking on the MV Trans-Saint-Laurent is strictly forbidden at all times during the pandemic. The duration of the crossing is approximately 1h15.

Informations
Persons with mobility impairments

If you are a person with a mobility impairment or other health issue requiring assistance, please notify our agents upon arrival at the dock. They will facilitate your access to the passenger decks. If necessary, our staff will provide assistance to any passengers requiring it. Our service areas are also wheelchair accessible.

Restaurant

Our restaurant will remain closed during the pandemic but you have access to a lunch counter.

Our bar will remain closed during the pandemic.

Our souvenir shop is open while respecting sanitary measures.

Children’s play room

Our children’s play room, usually accessible to young kids, will remain closed during the pandemic.

WiFi

Passengers aboard the MV Trans-Saint-Laurent have access to free wireless Internet service.

Tourist information

Passengers can peruse a wide variety of tourist information available in the display units located near the souvenir shop, where our partners – restaurants, lodging establishments and tourist attractions – provide pamphlets and brochures describing their facilities and services. Our staff can also provide information about the various services and attractions on both shores of the St. Lawrence. You’ll also find tourist information in the Explore section of this site.

Pets

With the exception of guide dogs, all pets must remain in your vehicle throughout the crossing.

On board services

Reservation for buses

Reservations are not required  for  cars to board the MV Trans-Saint-Laurent. However, reservations are recommended for groups of 10 or more travelling by minibus, bus or coach.

If you have already made a reservation, please note that we recommend you check the schedule on a regular basis as it may change at any time during the pandemic.

Boarding proceeds in order of arrival, so we recommend that you be at the dock:

  • 90 minutes before departure during the summer and holidays
  • 30 minutes before departure during the spring and fall

Capacity

The MV Trans-Saint-Laurent has an attentive crew dedicated to ensure both your safety and your comfort.

Recreational vehicules

Due to pandemic, news restrictions for propane tanks are available. We accept 2 bottles of 30 pounds each for a total of maximum 60 pounds per vehicle or maximum 65 L for propane tanks. Please commnunicate with us to know the time of the tide. A low tide can damage the vehicle.

 

Safety management

The ferry company has implemented a safety management system (SMS) to ensure the safety of both passengers and staff, as well as to prevent pollution.
Our SMS and the ferry’s certification are both fully accredited by the BUREAU VERITAS classification society.
